How do I see my Claude Code usage limits on a Mac?
Install SeventyQuota: a small progress ring and two percentages sit at the top of the screen, in the menu bar. One click opens the detail, with a bar for each limit and the time each quota resets.
What do the two percentages mean?
The first one is your current session, the 5-hour window. The second one is your week. The ring stays green below 70 percent, turns orange from 70 percent and red from 90 percent, so you see the limit coming before you hit it.
What should I do when I hit the limit?
Open the menu: the line concerned shows the exact reset time, so you know how long to wait. Meanwhile you can switch to a lighter model, keep heavy tasks for the start of the next session, or work on something else. Nothing is lost, the counter resets on its own.
Does SeventyQuota read my conversations or my password?
No. The app reads the session token already present on your Mac in READ-ONLY mode, only to ask for your usage counters. No password is ever requested, no conversation is read, and nothing is sent to Seventy Labs or anywhere else.
Is SeventyQuota an official app?
No. SeventyQuota is an independent app by Seventy Labs, a Swiss Mac app studio, with no affiliation with Anthropic. It is simply compatible with Claude Code. Claude and Claude Code are trademarks of their respective owners.
